A Rolex With A Glasback

A Rolex with an exhibition back does not exist in Oyster Professional
series because having a crystal back is inconsistent with the rugged
durability of the Professional Series "tool watches." However,
the "Zenith Daytona" caliber 4030 is well decorated and does not
deserve to by hidden behind the typical Rolex steel case back. It is
for this reason that I had an exhibition back installed on my Ref.
16520.

It was custom built by a young watchmaker in Frankfurt who
unfortunately quit the business a few month ago. I paid about 140,- €
for it. The back is threaded, and the exhibition window is made of
mineral glass and steel - water resistance was tested to 100m.

I know people may have varying opinions about my Daytona exhibition
back, but it is still running and I have never regretted what I did.
Of course, I can easily unscrew and remove the exhibition back I had
made, and return the stock case back any time I choose.

Special Thanks to JBH :)
